Humanizer-zh

A tool for removing traces of AI generation from Chinese text. It rewrites AI-generated content so it reads more natural and more like something a person wrote; the core content is translated from the English original Humanizer, which is itself based on Wikipedia's Signs of AI writing guide.

Made for: editing and reviewing AI-generated content, making an article feel more human, and learning to recognise common AI writing patterns.

How to Use

The tool recognises and fixes 24 AI writing traces, in four groups.

Manual Workflow

1. Identify AI patterns: scan the text against all 24 patterns
2. Rewrite the offending passages: replace AI traces with natural phrasing
3. Keep the meaning: preserve the information
4. Keep the right tone: match the register the text calls for
5. Add a real voice: make the writing sound like a person

Key principle: not just "clean", but "alive"

Avoiding AI patterns is only the baseline; good writing needs a real human voice:

• Have an opinion: don't just report facts, react to them
• Vary the rhythm: mix long and short sentences
• Admit complexity: real people hold mixed feelings
• Use "I" where it fits: first person is a form of honesty
• Allow some mess: perfect structure reads as mechanical
• Be specific about feelings: replace abstractions with concrete detail

Before:

The changes are mostly deletions: inflated significance ("a proof of the company's commitment to innovation"), AI vocabulary ("moreover", "seamless"), the rule of three ("seamless, intuitive and powerful"), negative parallelism ("not just… but…") — plus concrete features and real feedback added back in.

Notes

• The goal of this tool is to improve writing quality, not to fool AI detectors. The best way to de-AI a text is to give it real human thinking and voice.
• Chinese has its own quirks: some English patterns behave differently in Chinese (title casing, for example), so the Chinese edition adds examples suited to Chinese writing and adjusts some phrasing to fit Chinese habits.
